Hi All
Been starting alright up until 4 days ago now tries to start, fires up for a couple of seconds and cuts out. Everything seems to be ok, checked pump etc. What I do notice is when trying to start the fuel gauge and clock switches off and on. Its a Doblo 1.9 Active Multi-Jet. Hoping someone may be able to help.

thanks for reply - it run for seconds then just keeps turning over won,t start plus can,t understand why gauges go off and on.
cheers

hi how do we know key is recognised

cheers

That sounds ominous..

Ok..
When you turm the key to MAR half the fash lights come on and do a 'self.test'
The fuel pump whitrs.. most of the lights go off

Leaving handbrake. Oil and battery
Emissions ( engine) yellow light

There should be a light showing a:
Car..lock..key

That comes on for a second or two at MAR

if the fuel pump runs.. the Immoboliser has probably deactivated :)

yes they all work but as i say as you are turning over engine fuel gauge and clock goes off and on? thanks so far .

have allready checked cables at terminals seem ok tried to start it again sounded as if it was trying noticed the temp, gauge going up and down now to, can,t get underneath the snow is to deep.

cheers

If the negative battery wire to vehicle body/engine is faulty it will cause all sort of problems such as crazy gauges

Link a jumper cable from battery negative to the chassis..
That will help out a failing cable ( they can rot internally )

If no better.. link battery negative to engine metalwork..

These both have an earth cable that can fail internally
