Technical doblo tire pressure?

Hi All,
My doblo cargo use to have 175 / 70 / 14 Pirelli P3000 tires, and I have replaced the fronts with 185 / 65 / 14 snow-type tires.. Cause they had become like my dad's head I do not know if 185/65/14 is appropriate or not..
My problem is the car keeps on going when I brake, the front tires slips I mean, even on dry road!!
Tire pressure was 45 psi front / 50 psi rear.. as the service set..
I have made it 35 psi for all tires, cause some people said 45/50psi is too much for a doblo cargo, and this ex-pressure may cause the "slipping" problem..
Now it's better but does any of you know the best pressure value for a doblo cargo? I could not find it on the hand book..

Hi, I thought I would reply on tyres and grip as you have had no replies on pressures yet.
However, it seems your pressure situation is "off the book" as you have different size tyres front and rear and snow tyres just at the front. (your set up would worry me
The Doblo JTD is the best vehicle I have ever had.
I regularly accidentally cause the front wheels to slip when pulling away.
It seems to be more than just the torque as I have to be careful braking too.
There`s a hill around here where its a downhill approach to an A road and I regularly have front wheels slipping and locking up when the road surface is damp. Scary really as there seems to be no reserve grip in this situation for an emergency stop
I`m quite wary of high speed bends (and braking distances) particularly on damp or wet roads.
Its such a great "car" that I wouldnt swop it for anything else in the price range.
But what I am trying to say ( I am not suggesting that this is your solution)is that I have altered my driving style to the situation.
It reminds me in some ways of the narrow tyred high powered cars of my youth.
I think that modern fat tyred cars offer so much grip that transfering to a narrower tyred high power and torque car could really catch someone out if they were not aware.
Well, I guess that does not help you much, but its my solution to tyre grip.
I wonder how many other vehicles of that weight, power and torque, use the same tyre and wheel size?
On a final note, I do enjoy the handling and deploying the driving skills it seems to need under certain conditions.

I've found the solution! tie pressure must be 37 psi front / 43 psi rear for a cargo..
for the other types 33 front and 33 rear..
but I've made it 33 / 33 cause I never use the cargo as a cargo, I never load it.. and it works!
There has been a snow storm in İstanbul/Turkey for 5 days, and my tires works very very good..
I saw that tire pressure is everything!
Now I am looking for some nails, cause the tires have holes for them..

I too have had some interesting experiences with my Doblo Cargo JTD and the crappy tyres fitted. Mine came with Dunlop which I got 30k out of the front. I replaced these with Uniroyal types and grip has been increased hugely. I can still spin them at will, but I have to work harder than the Dunlops. Recently I checked the pressures and pumped them up as suggested in the drivers manual to about 33psi all round. The van skipped around and slipped about as if the roads were really greasy. I talked to a mate - a tyre fitter and he suggested leaving them at 26 psi all round. This has made a huge difference.
I still think FIAT made a huge mistake selling these vehicles with skinny tyres like that, they should be at least 185's on 15 inch rims. I am toying with the idea of replacing my rims with 15 inch steel ones and sourcing suitable tyres.
Anybody else done this yet?

yes, problems start here. Standard doblo cargo tyres are reinforced. I f you get 15s like I have reinforced tyres start at a profile of 65 or 70 which are f~cking huge and would look silly and handle terribly. Im after a solution myself, it looks like standard 195 55 15s but will these take a full load? I guess im just gonna have to try it!!!!

Tried it seems fine. 15" alloys with 195/55/15 same diameter as standard with wider track. No rubbing, each tyre will take 510kg so that covers the absolute maximum for a doblo about 17-1800 kg overall. Got some falken tyres that protect the edge of the wheel so no curbing! Great stuff.
