Hi All,

First post here, so how's everyone?

I have a 2003 Doblo Van 1.9JTD 100K miles on it. It's been going like a dream up to now, never giving me any trouble.

The problem it's showing is quite a strange one. Basically how it manifests itself is as follows:

The van will start every morning/evening without fail, first turn. However for eg if I stop to get Diesel on the way to work after 20mins of driving, it won't restart after this until I wait for some time ~15-20 minutes. Now this was a bit of a nuisance but not completely catastrophic, I'm getting it serviced this week anyway so I was going to get this looked into.

However last night on the way home from work I was driving along a busy road in heavy traffic @ maybe 35-40mph in 4th gear when the engine just stalled. I wasn't changing gear or pressing the clutch or anything. Just had my foot steadily on the accelerator. I was lucky in that the road was straight, and I managed to pull into the hard shoulder. It wouldn't restart for 20 minutes, when it did, I managed to drive the rest of the way home very slowly as I didn't want be going around a bend at speed only for my power steering to disappear.

Anyone seen anything like this in a Doblo before? Or any idea what could be causing it? Someone said it may be a faulty injection controller unit. Could it be something as simple as a dirty fuel filter?

Anyn ideas at all would be helpful.

Rgds
