Doblo cuts out

Can anyone help. My Doblo cuts out from start in winter. In warm months there is no problem. Someone recommended addressing the Earth from battery -(battery is new) done that. It happens when I go to pull away in reverse -even when I give it high revs. And it happens after a few minutes when I am going down the road- when de-throttling. Today it happened on roundabout -busy road- everything died-power steering lights etc. I managed to start it - then it happened again on the way home. After a run -it's usually ok, but even when I have been driving for an hour, when I go to start up again it can play up until I've been driving for a bit. When I go to pull away in cold/damp weather I try to park where I don't have to reverse, because it always cuts out in reverse. It's getting a pain cutting out on busy roads :bang:. Any advice would be welcome.

Suspect bad crankshaft sensor.

www.mister-auto.co.uk for a new sensor.

They are easily changed, and go bad at moments you can't afford it...
I always carry a spare sensor in my car...

Somewhere down, near the flywheel (clutch housing/starter engine).
