I couple of months ago I purchased a 2006 Doblo 1.9JTD 120BHP camper, had it fully serviced with new timing belt (was told old belt was a tooth out!) and it drives very well, goes like stink but noticed over the weekend during a camping trip, after coming off the motorway I accelerated quite hard from the junction at the roundabout and noticed a cloud of black smoke in my rear view mirror. It only seemed to be upon hard acceleration. Would this just be accumulated soot in the DPF being blown out after a run or something more sinister as Iit was reported on service that there were two jubilee clips missing from air intake hose downstream of air filter (hoses still connected but is that good enough?) and also oil on the big hose in front of the gearbox (intercooler hose?) - not sure if relevant or not, or could it be injector issue? - occasionally I have noticed a sort of misfire when idling at the lights but not all the time so am considering using millers diesel additive in addition to the branded fuel I always use.
any advice appreciated as do not want to cause DPF clogging (no warnings or anything but garage cleared DPF counter instead of oil counter since service when a regen was interrupted and I had oil change warning. I did the manual procedure for clearing oil change warning (throttle and brake pedal procedure) so not sure what is going on. Performance seems good, throttle response lively, turbo whistles happily so is there anything to worry about?
many thanks
