Hello, I seem to have a metallic noise coming from engine! I thought it might be loose heat guard but its not. Its okay idling but when I put my foot down it rattles midway. Ive attached link to sound clip. You can only just here it as iphone is not the best sound recorder.

I had a very simlar rattling noise.

First I thought big or little ends had gone - Only rattled with clutch engaged though not on stand still (Eliminated that)

Then I thought maybe a noisy cam or valve lifter - was too intermittent though, it wouldn't always rattle...???

Then I noticed filling up from different petrol stations cured the noise. I think it was the grade of diesel I used. ASDA - Tesco, rattling noise / Shell - Esso, no noise

I bought 2 lots of COMMA DIESEL MAGIC - ADDITIVE ENGINE INJECTOR CLEANER 400ML BOTTLE from the flea bay & now it never happens at all.

I have the engine management light on at present & the code reader shows I need a new EGR - So maybe it has something inside the egr..??
Just a guess.
My noise has completely disappeared since the 2 bottles / 500miles using the COMMA MAGIC.

Petrol engines "pink" maybe the diesel Doblo rattles..??
