in the stilo i had it on all the time- it cuts out after about 30mph (but still displays city on the dash). made the car easier at slow speeds and i didnt have to keep pressing the button to turn it on and off.
i now have a bravo 150 tjet sport, its manly car- city button is taken out, and replaced with a SPORT button that overboosts the turbo.
he he he
i want sport button![]()
The original Bravo/a version was the screw underneath the accelerator pedal, which you could screw in or out according to how far you wanted to be able to push the pedal downMy how things have changed

CITY has a lesser-known secondary function in the Punto and Stilo (if not the others); it re-maps the accelerator pedal response to reduce the throttle openings that you get, theoretically making city progress smoother.
comprehensively tested this tonight, and noticed sod all difference. It was still very jerky pulling away in 1st, and playing with the throttle openings whilst stationary there was no difference at all either. There is definitely no such thing on my mk2a Sporting.
maybe its different in your car, or maybe its your imagination?
some people prefer a bit of weight to the steering, it allows for more "feel" (even though the electric column effectively makes all "feel" completely artificial)
I hate driving with light steering, some cars such as the 406 have steering as light as the city button all the time :yuck::yuck::yuck:
