i live in cheshire in a very nice area, on a quiet road but cos the borough of trafford (manchester) is 5 mins drive away from my house i'm in a high risk area. never heard of a car being broken into, although mine got broken into - forgot that one lol!
Im not that surprised really by Bradfords rating, even though I live on the green belt in a nice area its still rated my area as E* what a bummer. But then again 2 miles down the road and its a "Refer" area! LOL in fact ALL of Bradford is rated as D or below except for BD23 and BD24! What so special about those bastards!
my post code is the lowest you can get according to that but I have had numerous cars burnt out (inc outside my house!) and stolen with a 2 mile radius.
that must be wrong
Try going on this link, just type in your post code and look under the police bit, if you then click on open, it gives you more details, should look like this
No doubtedly I live in the worst area possible for insurance, without even clicking the link.
However not once has my car been scratched, broken into.. Hell! I leave my car unlocked some nights (my own fault mind you) and it's parked on the most dodgiest road in the most dodgiest council estate EVER..
We used to be Lancashire, but now Cheshire, we have a Liverpool dialing code, and a Warrington postcode, yet recently we've just had our own district implemented on us, called Halton.
my current address and parents address is a B, my old address in sheffield was a REFER, no wonder my car insurance never went to sheffield! lol
Interesting though, my insurance address moved from DN9 to DN7 for a short time, which cost me £100 as it is a higher risk area, then when i moved back from DN7 to DN9 i had to pay a £30 admin fee. Yet they show them as being the same risk band
Still don't understand that it thinks that I live in an "A (no-risk)" postcode area when I share the same post code as welland and parnwell estates (two of the roughest parts of peterborough as Al will tell you )
