Recently bought a hymer with Ducato 2.8 jtd engine, 1999 reg, it came with 2 keys, both black, I didn't know I was supposed to have a red key fob (if indeed I do), will I need such a thing in the future, I cann't get the original as previous owner didn't have it either, any advice please. Rog

You should only need the red key if you loose the black ones. If you do loose them then it's gonna cost you.

trade in will drop by £2000 costs about £1000 at fiat you can get a key kit for about £350 £400 need to know what you are doing but the 2.8 is easier than the 1.9 or 2.3

Mine is the same, but I have been told the cheap way is to get the pump "modded" to bypass the immobiliser, or it can be diy if you know how, supposedly.

Aren't we talking about the Brownhills Security alarm key fob -I've got a Rapido 741F on a 2004 2.3JTD and both sets of 'Fiat' keys has a red alarm activation/deactivation key fob (Sigma M30 alarm fitted by Brownhills on conversion )
