Dishwasher help!

Ours is a Bosch, the only float it has is in the salt dispenser for the water softener. It's bouyancy is set so it sinks when there is only a little salt left so you know to refill it. Ours pumps out into a drain arrangement that has it's own U bend so no need to seal the outlet.

Think a trip to comet/currys is in order at lunchtime :D
Did you sort it, if you haven't, let me know the model number, I use a local Independent domestic appliance repair and spare shop, he hasn’t failed me yet, also if you do still need help, any chance of a picture of where this ball goes, so I can describe it better

Ok, so couldn't find any reference of the ball on the Bosch diagrams, and none of the dishwashers in Comet had one... so wondering if it has always been there, or if it's foreign.

Talk about blowing it... I went to put it on and noticed the previous tablet hadn't washed away.. put it on rinse.. thought it was taking ages to start so triggered the latch with a knife.. fine but couldn't un latch it. Had to take the door apart to fix it.

I'm getting quite a good knowledge of the insides of this appliance

Just remembered this when patrolling thru the utility room on shut down. We now have an AEG so ,sorry. I guess our Bosch lost it's balls(n). I looked inside it anyway and no ball valve arrangemnt but it does have a small sump in the drain which would provide a seal. I'm not a fan of Bosch, we had a very expensive freezer from them which died after about 2 years the cooling circuit fractured near the compressor and I could not get it fixed economically even at "mates rates" from a guy who lives near here and runs a commercial fridge repair biz.
