I took my battery off to give it a full charge after some starting issues, however when I put it back on and tried to start i got 'Engine Immobilzer Fault' then i locked the car and unlocked it and it cleared that error so I thought great problem solved. However Ive now noticed that the little screen above the steering wheel where it displays mileage and trip counter dosent seem to go off. When I turn engine off it does go off after 2 minutes but as soon as I unlock it or open the door it comes straight on. It never used to do this and it seems to be draining the battery.
And when I start the engine it dosent seem to wait a second before loading the mileage it does it straight away, which is strange because before it took about 10 secs before displaying it.
Any ideas what could have caused this, surley taking the battery off cant have damaged something??
