Disabling EGR valve on MJET 8V

I would like to disable the EGR valve on my 2008 MJet 8Valve engine.

Is there a kit available?

Or step by step instructions?

Should I expect fault codes to be thrown up by the ECU?

the vauxhall 1.9 and 1.3 models have blanking plates available same engine so could fit

I have fitted the blanking plate to dis-able the EGR valve about 2 weeks ago.

So far 2 beneficial effects:

1) The flat spot at 1800rpm is no longer there

2) When I accelerate hard there is no longer huge black smoke clouds being ejected from my exhaust (my car has the DPF unit removed)

Later on I will check the ECU for fault codes.

Cars with a few miles on the clock always do better when the EGR is blanked off. Piping exhaust gasses direct into your inlet isn't the best of idea's.
