Digital Boost!!!!! i got it to work.... well kinda

as the title says i know how to get the digital boost on the mk1 digital dash working :)

well kind of anyway,

when you turn the ignition on all the dials go to maximum, those who have a digidash will know what i mean, and the after about half a second everything goes to what it should be, however the digital boost stays on its maximum, and doesnt change when driven,

i have basically connected pin 22 the "turbocharger warning light" to one of the unused connections on the back of the digi dash, i'm thinking it might need to be earthed? so another wire might still need connecting,

i'm going to carry on playing with it and if i get further i will post up the results later on.

first picture is when the wire is connected second is when it is not.

right then basically there are 4 wires missing which should be there for the digi dash to fully work,

in the attached picture the yellow and green pins operate the door lock and the brake pad lights on the dash.

with the red pin connected to pin 22 on the ecu the digital boost gauge fully lights up, see picture further up for that.

however the blue pin is unaccounted for, nothing happens when it is earthed, but written on the back of the dash for that pin it says "GND CPU" so im guessing it connects to one of the pins on the ecu,

Cool, i didnt even know unos had digital dash readouts

They're rare, and were only available as an option on the mk1 Uno turbo. Most people probably had no idea that Unos could be had with one! The majority of UT's had the analogue dashboard because when digi dashes were available in the late 80's (Tipos could be had with them, along with Astra GTE's/ Carlton GSi 3000's) a lot of people didn't like them. Now they're kind of back in fashion in a retro 80's techno way!

They were never available for the mk2 or any of the lesser Uno models and don't seem to crop up on Ebay any more either.

I do like my analogue SX instruments, but have to admit that the digi dash would look good if you are into Night Rider/ Space Invaders ;) :p
