found a few differences on the block....

the pistons are slightly different they have like circle paterns on the punto engine.

the crank shaft end where it bolts to the flywheel the holes are more closer into the centre of the crank meaing the flywheel had to be drilled to fit this.

also the water pump pipe that comes out the punto one sits nearer the water pump side where it bolts up on the seicento its nearer the flywheel side and on the punto lump theres no hole tapped for it to be able to bolt it up.

thats the only differences ive found so far.

like i say, never seen flat pistons in a stock FIRE engine. i've seen a fair few, but not them all mind.

the centre of the crankshaft keeps it in place anyway

Not on mine it doesnt, i had to shim it to get it central.had loads of play.all good now

And i didn't touch the centre bore when machining

IIRC my pistons were flat when i swapped the heads over:confused:
