Hi there All. I have the chance to get a 1.8ELX Brava but its the pre-facelift version. What are the main differences between the types? I know the dash is different and possibly the stereo and controls, but what are the mechanical differences? And are they a better car over the 1.6ELX? Thanks

New 1.6 engine has little better fuel economy due to newer ECU, less powerful injectors and longer gear ratios. Newer ECU fixes also some problems with stalling on cold start. Newer models have also higher tyre sizes for 5. Probably to make car more confortable a little. I think almost all new models are equiped with ABS system and rear brake discs (instead of drums).

1.8 model has never had rear disks, only drums!!
ABS was optional on all fiat models prior appearance of stilo.
