Hi all, I have only just joined this site and would appreciate all and any help with the following:
I have a 1984 Ducato LHD with a Grenzland body, imported from Germany some 20 years ago, and have been repairing it (on my driveway) since I bought it 3 years ago. Last month it passed it's MOT with a couple of minor things wrong ( offside bottom ball joint and wiper blades, both since replaced).
Now, here's the thing... while it was on the ramp (for the MOT) I was looking underneath for any things that may need attention and noticed that there was excessive play in the drive shafts as they exit the diff.
Looking online it seems to be a fairly simple thing (for a mechanic) to shim the carrier bearings and preload them to the prescribed 0.15mm.

Does anyone here know of someone in the Bristol area that can look at and shim my vans bearings.

Thanks in advance

Can not help you with garage but I do know this type of gearbox and you are right the bearing can be simmed without even removing box from vehicle
