General Diesel problem

hi all, i am having problem with my 2.3 JTD 55 plate ducato, started this morning went 5 yards heared noise under bonnet then it died, checked cam belt its ok, when put carb cleaner down it started fine, there is diesel getting to pump, but not to injecters, has anyone got any idea???

If your pump seized at speed it may have stripped the teeth on the engine and itself.

If the noise was more innoccuous could be the Pressure regulator on pump
Also you need a realtively high pressure from the lift pump 3bar I think.

When you say that theres no diesel at the injectors you mean you checked the return pipes? Don't try to check the supply pipe as the pressure here is 300bar (4500psi) at cranking speed ouch!
