Diesel engine.....performance exhaust?

if its for the polo i probably wouldn't bother, maybe just a nice filter but i don't know enough about them, just be happy you're not stuck with the 1.4 8v (y) lol

best thing is to maybe loose un needed weight from the car if you can

TDIs, yes definately. On my vRS a turbo back exhaust made the turbo spool up alot faster and louder, and on boost sounded great. Economy wasn't affected. Performance wise, a remap was needed to free up the extra power/torque available.

Er what performance did you gain from the glow plugs? Considering they are only used for starting?
Also was it remapped for bigger injectors?

If you want to let more out at the back, then you may have to put more in at
the front. A small increase in exhaust flow may help release a little more power as the engine will probably be slightly stifled due to noise regulations, but, if you open the exhaust up too much, the amount of gas may not be sufficient to flow smoothly down the bigger pipe with less restrictive baffles. Of course you could always open the taps a bit more at the front end but you
still have to get the balance right; which may be easier said than done.

I dont know if i gained any performance tbh.All i know is it runs hell of alot better than it did and in 5th it pulls well like every gear!
Also,All these cold wintery mornings we've had, even with car frostin over in the early mornings,Its never failed to start yet, starts first time every time. Its the best runabout car ive bort for such a low price of £300 t+t :slayer:
Oh and no its not bin remapped.

lmao. i get offered cars for 50-100 quid all the time, could of had a nice 1.4 corsa in a nice blue with alloys for £100 tax till end of month and mot till Dec 09

ahah yeah? thats a corsa tho:yuck: nice tin can, **** tin can.
ahah at the end of the day, im 18, Im not looking for anything that would have insane performance, Im not going for a flashy car, Why not buy a really cheap car and gain ncb, experience and save money for a faster car when you have the experience?

And since its such a cheap car, i can play about with it, and not worry.
