General destroyed key !!!

I have managed to destroy my key in a fire and have been told that if I take the imobiliser box to my local auto elecs he can reprograme a key for me.
but,, I don't know where it is located ? can anyone let me know where to find it please so I can take it to get fixed in the morning , thanks

Do you have the paperwork for the vehicle, with the credit-card style CODE ?,
this will mean MOST places can code you a new key quite easily, apparently Timpson cut FIAT keys for @£40 coded,

Timpson cant do this but they can repair your shoes.
