Technical Dessicator/dessicant

Hi,

Has anyone come across a dessicator system that hangs in the the inerior of the car and 'soaks' up moisture. They have a limited use but will stop a lot of condensation. I know they are available, I've seen them in other cars but I haven't been able to track one down yet.

I work for a camera company and we use them in are shipping boxes. I have a load in my car all the time to keep things nice and dry. It does work, but sorry to say I dont know anyone who flogs them.

The shoe company's will know the boxes are always full of them although a dehumidifier will work much better

The shoe box type are not that good, just far to small but the company might do larger models. Get 100 or so and it will work ;-) for a week or so.

I have been using them like I said before, but Alan D is spot on. Getting a dehumidifier is really the only way to go.

Got it, 'Damp Dry' from Lakeland Limited, or there are some re-usable packs from the caravan websites.

Alan - If he's talking the same Lakeland then their flagship store is in Windemere behind the train/bus station. The missus has dragged me there a couple of times when we have visited the lakes.

Yep - it is indeed the same Lakeland with the store in Windemere.

Had a look in the map & there are stores everywhere, I think Windermere is the original one. I was just thinking being near may have been help but everyone else is probably closer to the store network than me
