Desperately need RECON Bravo 1.2 SS Engine

does anybody know where in Ireland or the UK I can get a reconditioned engine for a Bravo 1.2 16V S.S (special series)

mine is well f**ked

Hey up lad,

Sorry to hear about your engine being foobard. I own a 80SX aswell. Have you thought, insted of dropping the same engine into the car try a HLX engine. Can get one in the UK for £500. Heard rummours that someone got for £300.

alrite mate, cheers for the reply,

a mechanic i had on the case when she first blew on me got an engine same year (01) and tried to put it in only to find that the bottom end of it was slightly different.

so apparently theres a difference in the standard 01 engines and the SS engines, the SS model came out around march and i think it ran to the finish of the bravos, its this particular engine that im having trouble finding.

a mate was suggesting to me all right to fit a HGT into it, i dont know if this is possible?

HGT aint possible.....engine bay is too small by 5mm or 1cm can't remember.....bigest engine is 1.8 16V....sorry lad
