So i just used the Demon Shine  spray product on my White 8v GP. It was really simple to use, just spray it onto the wet body work one panel at a time and rub with a micro fibre cloth until you cant see it. u gotta rub for ages until the streakiness goes away. I then left it to dry for a few minutes whilst using it on my wheels ( it doesn't say anything about using it, or not using it on wheels)

AND ITS BEAUTIFUL :worship: a brilliant sleek, shiny finish.

definitely gonna be binning all that turtle wax stuff.

If you want pictures il be happy to post some.

PS Just remembered that in another post i mentioned that i had used an alloy wheel cleaner that ruined my wheels, just remembered what it was, it was MAGUIRES ALLOY WHEEL CLEANER.

There is a boat load of products about which do this..

Meguires last touch

Autosmart Reglaze

Autoglym Rapid detailing spray....

to name three

What exactly happened to the wheels most alloy cleaners are safe if used as directed My personal choice for the wheels is Autoglym Coustom wheel cleaner

Hi. This is the link to the thread regarding alloy wheel defects.

Regard the alloys, thats what happens to diamond cut wheels. Theres not much way of preventing this, other than cleaning them weekly with normal washing up liquid and a sponge. Then a good coat of wax/polish to seal them.

I've seen this happen to all diamond cut wheels, from cheap sets from halfords all the way up to bmw wheels. fact is, there isnt anything for the clear coat to stick to, so any damage/chips will let water get in and worm thru the clear coat, causing it to flake off.

Also the only way to repair the damage is to re-cut them with diamond tip tool on cnc lathe.
