After a new car... I have had a funk white 500 lounge then a chill out purple lounge..

My loan is up soon & was thinking of changing to an Audi a1, however part of me wants another little 500 as I love them!!..

But, which colour!!!... I was thinking new age cream, but just can't decide... Part of me would like funk white again, but my fiancée would not be happy if I got the same colour again, even though I'm mad enough to do just that!!..

Quite like the red but it's seen every where as is the BNW.. Hmmm

Actually I've seen some & not too keen.. Can't decide what colour I want!!! Too many to choose from..

Not sure if it's still available on new 500's, but ours is Midnight Indigo Blue and I really quite like it, moreso because I rarely see other 500's in that colour.

It's so hard to choose a colour lol.. In a way I'm toying with just keeping the chill out purple.. As you can see in my avatar it did look lovely in the sun & I've only ever seen one other in the road!!.. But by god it gets dirty very quickly!!!

Get the purple in C version. I have it with an Ivory roof and it looks soooo good

OMG that looks lovely!!... Would never have thought to put a soft top in beige with the purple!!..

Seeing your purple makes me wanna keep my purple after all as when the light is on it, it's a lovely shade..

How do you find driving a soft top??.. One of my friends put me off saying it was noisy & they car would sway but I'm tempted to get one!!

Also one more question... How do you go about keeping it clean??? I imagine they must get dirty what with typical uk weather & then bird cr*p too!!

I love my 500c. The roof comes down most weeks (if the temperature is above 10C and its not raining. I have the interscope stereo, but the noise is not intrusive at speed, you can still hold a normal conversation and because you don't lose the sides in the 500c you don't lose rigidity so no swaying.

When I picked mine up I was told it was the only one in the country with this colour scheme. Since then I have seen one other in pictures on a 13 plate (mines a 62 plate).

You have to get the bird poo off as soon as you see it and I just use a jet wash but treat the roof with a canvas roof protector twice a year.

Hmmm.. Very tempted... & I agree I've never seen that colour scheme before your pics tonight.. Don't worry I won't copy you!! ?... I also like to be unique.. I've only ever seen one other purple on the road so far..

Good to know it's still a good drive then & think my friends car was a full top side soft top so that's explains that..

I have owned both cars,go for an A1 1.4 engine.

Problem with an A1 is it'll just look like every other small hatch on the road and it doesn't really have much boot space. The 500 is now so common compared to when I bought my first one when it was launched. The point I'm making is even though it's now been around for years and I see so many on the road i think they still look better than ever.

Even the basic models can still look nice and inside they have the lovely balance between retro and clean simple design.

I see A1s, like other makes and with lots of fancy chrome, big alloys and extras they look smart, but a 500 in a queue will always make me smile and think they are ageing so well.

Can't pretend the 500 competes with the VAG engineering but it's still cool

Thought I should also say, my 500 was funk white (dealer thought I was made when I ordered it) and my Abarth 500 was too. Still think it makes the car look in a class of its own.

I'm definitely getting another fiat & in funk white again!!.. Been to look at the A1s & yes they are lovely but they all look the same!!.. No proper customisation which is what I love.. & funny the Audi salesman didn't know I had a fiat already & told me his favourite car is actually the 500 as "it's a cool little car"..
