General Death of a skywindow

I went to open the skywindow a couple of weeks ago after a friend advised it should be opened from time to time to keep it moving and it was DEAD!!

Our lovely friends at the fiat dealers in north london said i need to spend £3K on a new one.......Nooooo thanks.

Ot has always worked well. It doesn;t respond at all to turning the knob.

Anyone have any ideas? to make it worse, the manual has gone so i don't even know what switch/fuse to change

Beatuiful STILO JTD 03 loved every minute, never...NEVER nroken down, only dailed last MOT on wiper blades. LOVE THAT CAR.

Sounds like they didn't even look at it. I assume they never bother to tell you what was wrong?

Do remember to greese it regularly if you do get it going again, best of luck

did you try to reset it?

With engine switched on and skywindow dial/knob in closed position, push and hold dial/knob in for about 5 secs - you should hear 2 audible clicks/locking noises - skywindow should now be 're-set'.

turn dial to left, hold for 2 clicks

let go and within 2 secs hold dial down again.... window should open then close.

then you're reset
