Hi, I’m a proud owner of Zebedee - a 500e La Prima.

The satnav is always in night mode - ie: dark screen. I have pushed every combination of button/icon I can find but I cannot find a way to turn it to daylight mode.

There have been times when it’s light (for no apparent reason) but it soon goes dark again. In night-mode it’s next to useless in daylight.

Please, anyone any idea how to change it? The handbook’s useless.

Thank you so much.

Hi, welcome to the forum. Are your headlights set to "on" or "auto"? It's a switch on the indicator stalk that's easy to accidentally nudge. If the headlights are on, then the display goes into night mode irrespective of ambient light. There doesn't seem to be a cabin light sensor that overrides the headlight status.

If they're already on auto and the car is in daylight, then you can manually change the display brightness in settings on the centre console. Can't do it with the lights on for reasons that only makes sense to Fiat.

Falling that, next try would be a hard reset of the centre console which is a 10 second hold and press on the volume button beside the parking brake.

You are brilliant! Exactly that. Why on earth isn’t it mentioned in the satnav part of the instructions? Or is it just obvious to me.
