I have mentioned this before but the motor museum at Donington. There is a cafe at the side of it that does sausage and bacon butties. And there is also a gift shop that sells lots of motorsport merch. The Grand Prix collection is a fantastic display and if you havent been before I would highly recommend it. It is fairly expensive though at £10 per person but you dont have to go in. There is a decent car park outside the museum. You can also drive further on down to the track where there is another car park. As long as we dont go on a race day we shouldnt have a problem. When I was last there the Peugeot owners club had a large meeting outside the museum and the Lotus owners club had a meet outside the track. Its just off junction 23a of the M1 so its much further south.

Sounds like a blummin' good idea to me... -- so please pick a date (or three); and we'll take it from there...! :)

PS: Can't see any events currently posted, at Donington, for any of these dates....

PPS: 30 March is Mothering Sunday....

PPPS: The Practical Classics Restoration Show is on at the NEC, on 12 and 13 April. Please sign up for that, if you'd rather be stripping a Pink Panda...!

I also checked for race meets before and we are good to go. As for the 30th being mothers day then just bring your mothers! What a great present for mummy, spending a quality day surrounded by Fiats (and Abarth/s). Any ideas on where else to go after (im fine staying there) or whatever would be great as I dont know the area.:D

I'd really like to go to this - 30th not top choice, but can probably make it if it's chosen. I've voted for the end & start of the year accordingly! (y)

Can I just reiterate that 12/13th is the NEC show. We'd really like FF people to come along and support us, and help too ideally. This is your only chance to legitimately pull bits off Pinky the Panda. You want to be at the NEC that weekend, not at Donington!! :worship:

I was going to say 23rd March but I see there's racing on so it's probably best going another time. My wife will kill me if I go out to play on Mothers Day, even though she's not my mother so I'll vote for 6th April.

Silverstone and now Donny, gonna end up doing all the tracks around Britain! ;)

Well we've also got events at Castle Combe (race track), Santa Pod (drag strip), Shelsley Walsh (hillclimb), and Brooklands (old circuit), so there's potential for a few! I've also been to Rockingham this year, which is another interesting place - potential for a meeting here too maybe homeward ? Oh and Kop Hill is just up the road from me, and another great event (y)

All these meets go down really well! Mallory park is my local circuit, huge car park and track entrance on race day is dirt cheap.

This sounds like an AWESOME meet, but sadly I don't think I'll be able to come :( I'm hopefully going to silverstone to watch some racing at the start of April and the following week I'm sure it's the practical classics restoration show at the NEC

It is - you missed posts 1 & 10 in this thread ;)

Please come along to see us at the NEC - you can help on the stand too if you like, or help start taking Pinky the Panda apart. (y)

Wow really?? :D what club is it? And what are you doing to pinky?

Yes we'll be there & need a bit of help! It's all been a bit too last minute for my liking, but I'm sure we'll get there......

It's officially a Fiat Motor Club stand, but everything on there is likely to be owned by Fiat Forum members who happen to belong to both clubs. (y)

Looks like we will be very near the live stage, so should be easy to find - anyway look for a Pink Panda, which should be fairly obvious!

Pinky is being restored, so the strip down is being started at the NEC as we need to have work undertaken during the show. There's a thread at https://www.fiatforum.com/panda-classic/344104-nec-restoration-show-12-13th-april.html

You really can help take Pinky apart!! (y)
