General Dashboard light

Hello,
I have the preheater light staying on after the engines starts. It may go after a couple of minutes and sometimes it stays on for the whole journey maybe an hour or more.
It does not affect the car in any way accept I know that it should not be happening.
Does anyone know how to fix it.

hi, im not sure you've posted this in the right area but -
have you checked the resistance(s) of the preheater plug(s) with a multimeter? if not, do it. if you get open circuit then change the plug(s) in question.

if you find the resistence is fine, when first putting ignition on, check the voltage at the heater plug connector - should be 12VDC or thereabouts.

ok so if all checks are ok so far, then we need to check the continuity of the glowplug warning light wire - will need a proper diagram or pin out diagram for that i think.
