morning guys,

My dashboard gauges - speedo, petrol etc went dead this morning. It was doing find last night.Any ideas wat can I do or troubleshoot before I sent it to a garage? Anyone having this problem before? Thks!

Could be a blown fuse, does the glove box light or the interior light still come on?

Tom,
the glove box light and the interior light still come on.What conclusion can you think of? Thks

Does the needle on the guage still work or is it dead too?
I ask just to be sure  you mean the dash is dead and not just the lamps on the dash  ie:- everything still works but you have no lights on behind the dash so you don't know what your mileage is.
If it is just the mileage has gone blank then it's a bulb see the Bravo-guide for the fix it i wrote.
if it is all dead then i'm not much help sorry.

Rab. :)

Same thing happened to me and it was a fuse, other things that are on this circuit are brake lights so check them too. If they don't work then its the fuse, it is located in behind the panel to the right of the steering wheel.

Hope I helped

:-(

Mine did the same thing yesterday :(

All the lamps work, but all the gauges are completely dead (speedo, rev-meter, fuel-gauge, engine temp and milage-meter)

Did you solve your problem ??

Re: :-(

When it did it on mine, it was a loose plug on the back...

But it could also be a fuse...

Good luck

Re: :-(

I blew mine changing the interior bulb, while it was switched on.. fool. It was simply a 10amp fuse. cheapest repair i've ever had!

Need to change all the dashboard???

Same happened to me yesterday, but for the second time ...
First time I change the fuse.
Second time I was a little worried so I decide to go to the mechanic.
He send to a "specialist" and he said to me "I have to remove all the dashboard and, probably, change eveything, complete.
I said "no, thanks" and runaway.
Can this be possible?

PD: I live in Argentina and my 99 Bravo (HGT) have only 30.000 km.

Thanks!

Re: Need to change all the dashboard???

if its only happened twice, run away from the so-called 'specialist'
