Hi good people. I hope to bring strada to life. I bought as a 1.7 td year 2000, I've taken the inside apart and I'm under the impression that the counters / clocks are from the petrol version. Glow plug illumination blinded from factory, fuel gauge does not work. I don't know what the correct meter should look like for this model. Supposedly it fits from the Palio, right? I'm looking for both answers and parts. Help

Hello,

On the bottom of the forum banner you've there's a link to ePER. It's a FIAT spare parts catalogue:

The search window is top left of the screen. You can browse by models and categories or search with the VIN number of your vehicle. If so, ePER will by default show you only the parts that match your car.

Once you've got the part number, you can check in which other models it was used.

As far as I can see, there are more than 30 different versions depending on the trim:

If you search with the VIN number, you will get only one :)

Clicking on the blue part number will lead you to the parts details:

And clicking the 'Drawings' tab will list you the models in which the exactly same part was used. In this case, the one I clicked was used only in the Strada.

Hi Again,
First of all, thank you very much for the information. The best thing happened when I entered the VIN. It turns out that the car left the factory with a 1.2 petrol engine – at least that's what I read. Maybe I'm making a mistake? ZFA17800002721563
If not, it gets interesting: how do I find the right timers for the engine? Can you spare a little more patience for this matter? Thank you.

There should be the engine code stamped on the aluminium identification plate under the bonnet. Are you sure the VIN is correct (same on the documents and same on the vehicle)?

If the engine code from the identification plate corresponds to that listed in ePER, someone has swapped it earlier.

The question is what you want to do with it. If you just want to bring it back to life as is, or revert it to the original state.

Hi,
I'm definitely bringing it back to life. It would be best with working clocks. Tomorrow I'll check the engine numbers and we'll see what happens next.
