did you take pics to make a guide? https://www.fiatforum.com/guides :D

Twincamms... most of your comments in this section are at best negatively worded and at worse plain insulting.

I suggest you shape up and consider not trying to insult the other members with every post, otherwise get help with your Bravo on the Alfa forums.

In time the forum will become more technical, but until such a time when people don't have a warranty to think about, it will remain a friendly place - with or without you.

Hellcat

I was here long before you, in the days when it was a forum that was frequented by people who were interested in cars and needed to fix their own because they were young, tinkerers or under financial constraint.

When you posted a question you were met with assistance and support, not sarcasm or sillyness, there is a leisure lounge/spam area for that. If you are for instance in the middle of a repair/fix and post a question I don't think you appreciate it being met with sarcasm or sillyness.

My posts have been in the technical area and what I consider of a helpful/serious nature, so maybe the onus is on others to post their humourous comments in the appropriate sections. It's not about lightening up, it's about getting the relevant response to the relevant question.

On your last point if I want fun and friendly I'm sure I can find a local kindergarten to go and play at................................

Twincamms, the users define what tone a forum will take not you. Why dont you go and have a wee lie down, theres obviously something bothering you. Chill out and dont let the blood pressure run too high.

Once you have calmed down and realised that your annoying as hell at the moment come back and partake in discussions and we shall say no more about your indicressions ;)

CB I think you've missed my point. I don't come on to auto forums for a socialise, I use Facebook for that. I come on here to gain information/ technical assistance, so........

When I post for example an EGR cleaning guide a thanks would be good. When I post a Abarth badge buying thread, I don't expect it to be met with, got any Maserati badges, etc.

I really don't think you get it. Leigh posted asking about sport exhaust fitment on his standard model, now in FF vain I should have posted, if you wanted a sport you should have bought a sport, cause that seems to be the way but I didn't, I explained the fitment differences to him.

I might be as annoying as hell, maybe you don't like facts but it's not as annoying as the banal, inane repsonses that some people are posting is it?

You misinterpret my posts too, my blood pressure is fine, I've no need to calm down, I am expressing my experiences in the forum, it's not illegal nor is it intended to be offensive, just honest. As for my indicressions as you've written, I'm not sure I've commited any, however I would like to think you could spell a word before you use it.

there was off topic banter in the tech sections way back in the old days TC you must be getting old and forgetful. a lot of the tech info posted back in the old days was also rubbish, these days people might not get instant response but now its at least more correct an valid info that they get

Well if we are going to get childish about my typographical errors then that's not how you spell committed twincamms.

I dont see what your problem is. It's like you going into a bakers shop and complaining because it used to be a milliners and instead of being able to buy a nob hat your only going to get doughnut custard on your face.

Really, come on, its not as technical as you would like, fair enough but do you really expect everyone on here to bog off somewhere else because you are unimpressed with their technical abilities?

Also, fair play thanks for posting a help giude on how to clean an EGR valve, I dont need to do it at the moment (or for the next 3 years) but when I do I will definitely be glad someone posted on here (y) As has been posted the Bravo's are probably just starting to come out of warranty now so you cant exactly expect to have had that many people doing technical repairs, can you?

CB, I didn't suggest that people 'get on out of here' because they aren't posting technical stuff.

The point I was trying to make is it's unhelpful if I have posted a technical question or query and some muppet follows it up with sarcasm or humour.

Sorry that you find it annoying but I find it annoying when faced with a problem that I'm trying to fix and the only comments people can make is silly ones. Maybe I'm coming across wrong but if someone posts, however trivial their question I try and help. If you asked how to change a punctured wheel I'd put up a guide, that's the spirit of a forum isn't it? You'd be offended if I posted up a joke or took the mick..................

My ethos is if I don't know the answer or can't offer any help or advice, I don't post.

So why have you got 4476 posts to your name when you don't seem to have any answers yourself?

Neil

Those posts are in relation to previous membership, 2003/04 to be precise when I was an active member, I haven't been here for a long time, just returned in the last three weeks, there was a different membership in those days and the forum was relatively new, different things went on.

Oh and as Grandad Dave says I've got old and grumpy since then.....................
