Technical Dash lights - plugs ?

Noticed tonight that the little red plug light thing on the dash is staying
on for longer now when I start Charlie up !! It doesn't come on any other
time.....just stays lit for few more seconds than it did before.

That's a bad thing, right ??!!

If it goes out and stays out after you start, there's nothing to worry about.

Lighting up for a couple of seconds on rare occasions when driving isn't too much of a problem as long as the car still feels ok.

Persistent or frequent lighting up is when you should think about getting a man in.
...I'll rephrase that.
Persistent or frequent lighting up is when you should think about getting a diagnostic test done, as all fault codes are logged and can be read off at a later date to pinpoint faults.

Swore I'd never buy a mini with an ECU !!! Just got myself a different
car with one !

Yes, it's very modern...for me !!! In fact, Charlie is THE most modern car
I've ever owned !!!
