Hi, I have a mk2 3 door punto and the dashboard lights are on constantly: airbag, steering etc...the steering is heavy and only goes lighter with the city button, my speedo also does not respond so have no idea what speed I am doing! Does anyone know what this could be? Any help would be great! Thanks!!

Sounds like an alternator output problem to me. Have the voltage checked, should be a consistant 13 to about 14.5 volts (depending on age and condition of alternator) what ever the revs. If its higher then the regulator on the alternator has failed.
Ive had the battery checked and it was the correct volt, it is also a brand new battery. recently spoke to someone who said it may be a sensor for why the speedo isnt working but have tried a few of them and they havent made a difference to the speedometer. Still not got the the dashboard working properly yet!!

have you found out what the dashboard light problem was? I have the same problem
would it not make more sense to start a new thread to your problem rather than dredging a dead mollusc up:idea:
