General D or N?

The year threw me for sure.
All I had to go by was the window latches on the door, and did they use that fuel tank on a D?
And the dash has no ashtray

Chassis is apparently 110142483
But that doesn’t seem to fit with the sequence as my 63 was 50,000 odd I think

from the chassis number it was probably made first two weeks April 1960
quite a few more features are visible...

Interesting as the dark blue one on the prior page of this thread is also advertised as a 1962. Something to do with aus compliance or something?

I imagine the lights on the dash are a bit N too. One above the other not adjacent as per the D?

I thought that there were several possible reasons for strange registration dates....
Firstly simply a mistake made at some point when changing owners..
A car may have sat in a showroom unregistered (I had a car like this that was not registered for 3 years after production, it did cause a few extra questions regarding insurance)..
Perhaps Fiat were slow delivering cars and the registration process took longer....
That's why the date on the registration document is not a very good guide

yep those two lights are extras....

Ok I'm not so good at this game!

The 2 dash lights to the R of the steering wheel are a D feature aren't they?
Petrol tank is flat variety
Brake fluid reservoir is on the other side

Engine latch is wrong though
then i give up

The obvious pointers I look for are the doors... the pivot/hinge and catch for the 1/4 window.
Door panels.... D's have a lower retaining lip and are slightly narrower...
N's have the alluminium door pulls D's are steel and part of the door

Flat Tank and brake fluid reservoir - metal and on the RHS looking from the front...

The dash lights and switches, I don't pay too much attention to as these are easily added so unless the car is untouched then it clouds the issue...

Engine wise...
The Air filter housing is late N.. all N air filters are bolted to the fan housing with 3 bolts rather than having clip on tops.. These housings are often changed for later ones as they are unobtainium..

there are a few other bits and bobs... but if many of these are present then it's fair to assume it's an N
