Tuning Cylinder Head Depth

Anyone know how deep the cylinder head is on a 899cc cinq

might be able to shave a little off

Plastigauge is your ultimate answer, although I am sure your machine shop will have the 'safe' specs.

asn i'm going to be working on my head too soon...what do you mean by depth?
the thickness of the mating surface?

How would you use plastigage?
I thought that was only used for bearings?

During your dry build use it (or modelling clay) on top of the piston to check clearance.
