hi there seems to be soem grease near passenger side after inspection the cv boot has burst

shouls i check anything else

any consequences if i dont replace within a set time..

what is this cv boot issue>>>
what does it do to a car??

cv joint will die also the car will fail an mot, could damage a driveshaft if left to get too bad. best to fix it before it becomes a very expensive job.

CV boots don't last forever, no matter what the car, but should you catch it early enough it's a cheap job, with just new boot/re-pack with grease. Leave it until dirt/muck/grit gets inside, then you're looking at more expense, new CV joint bearings - which also means more has to be taken apart to change them.

As Ash say fix it quick if you get alot of water in there the grease will come out and you will be left with 1 knackered cv joint, that make a loveley clonking noise when you are turning!

cv issue

mine's gone too!

u shud be careful as it leaks grease + can go onto your breaks, its literally £10 for the part with about an hours labour... not sure u can do yourself - so labour will be the cost really! x
