Custom steering wheel w/out airbag - invalidate insurance ?

I'm thinking of getting a MOMO steering wheel as the leather is peeling on my GP. Just thinking the insurance might be invalid if I put in a new wheel that doesn't have an air bag.. Thoughts ?

Any insurance company may see this as a modification and wish to reassess the premium. Not declaring it could leave you uninsured if they dislike it.

Whatever advice you get here, why not call your insurance company and ask the question, before you commit to the purchase.

Couldn't really add to what has been mentioned really. Only people able to answer this would be your insurance company
