Recently this week done a 550 mile round trip, Cruise control for these 50 mph average speed road works area's is just the great.

Used the CC on M1 and M6 all the time where average speed not in place, did not use the accelerator, but what is the limit of speed with Stilo Cruise Control?

Haven't had a Jap grey import in tha past have you ?

My Prelude's CC had an upper limit of 100kph (roughly 62mph) although it could be nudged up around 70mph.

not had any similar experiences with Fiat's Cruise :)

HONDA TRAITOR....That's what you get when you drive a Honda :(

that was long before I had a Fiat, it was also before I did what Clarkson couldn't do - kill a hilux !

To the first, thank god ;) To the second, wow must have been a bad one, those beasts are not easy to kill...
Here is a hilux that is still running since 1976, not very well I might add but still there, or was until a few days ago.;)

Sorry OP, hijacking your thread here but yes hope you got an answer.

Sorry, don't understand the question. The CC will maintain whatever speed you set. So there is no 'limit' except the ability of your Stilo to go that fast...

Ok that makes it easier, ie the CC if you wanted could be set at the top speed if you so desired?

I only asked as I have many things fitted, that I do not use, and this was the first proper time I have used Cruise Control.

Yeah there is no internal speed limit as such. Only thing to watch out for if you haven't used CC before is not to use it when it's raining, icy or in heavy traffic. Some CC systems will accelerate when wheels start to spin, very dangerous especially if there's no traction control or ESP system.

can anyone confirm if fuel economy increases or decreases with cruise control enabled while on a motorway, trying to convince the boss (Mrs) to allow me to buy a cc stalk

Yes.

I do regular trips to Stafford, 50 mile round trip up and down the M6.

I've found fuel economy is better using the CC.

+1 Was getting VG MPG with cruise set at either 50 mph for those average speed area's and VG at 75mph.
