I have a croma 120 with 112K on the clock.

I have recently replaced a few items on the car and I would like to report my findings in sourcing Vectra C parts: -

I had play in what appeared to be my steering rack. Looked on VX forums and discovered inner tie rodss Never heard of them personally. Phoned fiat and they said they weren't sold seperately and I was quoted something like £722 for a new rack, went on ebay and purchased these in the hope they fitted, 30 quid is cheaper than 700.

They were identical and took all the play out of my steering.

I bought Vectra C upper rear suspension arms from ebay at 20 quid each because I went and picked them up myself. Fiat wanted 90 quid each.

I bought vectra C front discs and pads for about £58 (285mm) from I think it was these people: -

Although for the 150 mjet croma you need the bigger discs, but I would be suprised if you couldn't source them as GM parts.

I need a front offside caliper now, which is causing some headaches as the 120 vectra had an updated caliper at some point and I don't know which it is.

Fiat wanted something like 80 quid for an exchanged caliper but I would have to wait ages to get it so I cancelled the order.

I had been looking at those parts as well, and was'nt sure, but now convinced in what you have said. I need rear suspension arms and at £20 thats cheap. I will buying some of those shortly. Thanks

Just another question....

As you have 112K on the clock, Have you purchased a cam belt service kit recently??

I'm afraid not, it had a new belt and water pump before I bought it.

I do however need an auxilary belt and tensioners.
