Good evening all, We have a fiat croma turbo diesel here that cut out on the owner several times until one day it refused to start, scanner produced fault code relating to the fuel pressure regulator which we replaced, still no start, we now have fault code P0778 which is fuel pressure high pressure pump inlet/output injector support. We checked the fuel pump which is not priming the common rail, putting power direct to the pump works it fine but, even with pump running the engine still wont start and still produces the same fault code:bang::bang:, any ideas boffins???

Hi, we have checked l/p with the fuel pump power bypassed which is ok, but h/p is high bar and our tester does not operate to that pressure.

Good question as the figures are written down at work and my memory is like a fish so will have to get back to you with those details

you need at least a good 1bar, visually there may be a good amount of fuel coming out but this pressure can 'breakdown' under load/starting (an oscilliscope is good for this) whilst examiner is really required to scope out high pressure.

1.9 engine???
