My sympathy. I gather it is quite normal and recommended when replacing a clutch on a modern diesel engine to replace clutch, dualmass flywheel and slave cylinder at the same time. As for F*****G Fiats.......blame GM. Just about all the problems people have been having (excluding EGR) are all GM designed / sourced.
I gather some people have replaced the dualmass fly wheel with traditional ones due to premature failures with some makes of dualmass ones.
Would be inderesting to compare two Cromas/Vetras etc. with this type of conversion to see how different they are in engine noise and smoothness etc.
Sometimes all this modern tech stuff is just way OTT. Dualmass flywheels, HID lights, diesel EGR circuits, DPF etc.
If diesel fuel cost the true price for what it is, a low refined almost crude oil fuel compared to a highly refined petrol fuel, then I guess I would not be so upset at paying for dualmass, DPF etc.
