General Crankshaft sensor problem

Hi forum
Have had poor starting getting worse over a period, now my punto wont start at all, I used to be able to get her started by moving/wagling the lead from the three pin connector to the crankshaft sensor.
Then she would work fine for some time gradually it has got more frequent that she wont start even after moving the lead to the crankshaft sensor.

Is there any way of testing this sensor to see if its failed, any help appreciated please.

I've not got the test data with me. If you like, download the Seicento Technical Manual from the Downloads Library and it's in there.

But, to my mind, it's pretty obvious that it has failed and that you should have replaced it months ago!
