im using a Dell 1750 laptop with a Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU T4200 @ 2.00GHz. its not clocked, its standard spec.
Recently the laptop was getting hot which i put down to a failed battery (10 mins to charge, 5 to discharge that kind of failed). i have the new battery in, which is cool even when charging, but the CPU and memory area seem to be still hot.
I have downloaded speedfan4.46 and it displays the following temps
HD0
Temp1
Core 0
Core 1
now, i know HD is hard disc, and i know Core 0 & Core 1 are the CPU, but what is Temp1? this temperature hovers between 41 and 56, anything over 50 has a flame next to it and is often a few degrees higher than the cores.
anyone know?
reason for asking, often the fan kicks in at 56c but sometimes its reaching 70c. also what is the max temp for this cpu?
