Technical correct measurement of spigot rings

basically there are standard sizes as i saw according to the wheel brand....unfortunatelly, for mines (TFT T418 17X7.5) no luck! :(

81mm --> 56.6mm or 56.1 mm ?????

if grande punto has 56.6 why to order 56.1 ?

If you want to be sure of the size go to halfords and buy yourself a halfords professional digital caliper (they are quite good, identical to snap-on blue point) for about £25. This will allow you to measure to 0.01mm (if you use it correctly, don't force it).

Finally, i called directly a shop that sells this brand of wheels and ordered the correct one....

Every serious hobby-mechanic adventurous enough to change their own oil or replace brake pads should have a good set of calipers, but most don't. If you're not willing to invest in a good set, do this: Go to the nearest Chinese discount store; you know, the ones which sell EVERYTHING. Buy a cheap set of plastic calipers for a few bucks/pounds/euros, depending on where you live. If I need to measure to 0.01mm I go to the shelf where I keep my good calipers which are ALWAYS in a case. But for plus-or-minus 0.1mm, I grab one of my several plastic ones lying around in a pile of miscellaneous tools.

finally, i asked in a wheel store and gave me the "correct?" measurements according to the brand of my wheels (TFT Racing) and my car (grande punto)....he said its 73mm--56.6mm....after trying 2h, i put one of 4 spigot rings in a wheel, but i wasn't able to put the rest...just to mention that my wheels are recently powder coated....any ideas how to put the rest easily?
