Got at Marea 1,8 from 1997. Since I bought it in
december last year and untill today the temp gauge on dashboard never got higher than 1/2 of normal working temp. Now I got the thermostat changed and the temp has only raised from 1/2 of normal to 2/3 of normal after running for 20 minutes. Is this a well-known fail to the temp sender and temp meter on dashboard, or is the engine still running at too low temperature??

Lately I've experienced a "clunk"-sound from right side of front when hitting into roadholes. Any suggestions?

"Clunking"

Not sure about the temperature thing, best check with a dealer.
The clunking could b a number of things, but it might b worn bushes or u might need the suspension replacing on that side. Either way, get it checked soon, coz it's more than likely 2 get worse and it could cause erratic and dangerous handling.

Cheers,

Rob.

Clunking

I had the same problem with one of my wheels, turned out to be a worn bush, cheap to fix, but you need to get it done soonish as it can lead to more problems.

Sensor

I just remembered that when I had a problem with my engine overheating, the garage took the sensor off and poured boiling water over it to make sure it was responding to diff temperatures, can you do something similier?

Clunk from front-suspension

The sound turned out to come from a worn-out linkrod from anti-roll bar to left shocker. It was easy to fix and cost me 550 NOK (about 60-65 £, I guess...)
Took a testdrive through some really bad gravelroads
and the clunking was gone. Now I'm just waiting for my right side to start clunking...
