Looking for some new wheels for my sei wondering if i go for 175 50 14 will this rub and will i need any spacers? Just want it to handle abit better top speed

Well, the tyre size is the stock Abarth/Schumaker fitment. With the right wheels, it won't rub. But the tyres have poor choice and are expensive. You can run 185/50/14 and still be fine (better choice, cheaper tyres). Or you can find some 6J wheels and run 195/45/14 -- better choice still, cheaper tyres.

In the end, it'll all be down to the ET of the wheels, nothing really to do with the tyres. See this for starters.

So just to clear up et means the.size of wheel eg 6j am i right in thinking 5.5js can take upto 185 ? And how can i tell ehat size they ate do i just mesure?

ET = Offset

There's a lot of things you need to be aware of when choosing wheels, as well as offset and of course diameter and width, you need to make sure the PCD and centre bore are correct @ 4x98 and 58.1mm.

Im aware of bore but how would i get the pcd from on the wheel

But iget the jist of things its saying 100x4 will fit? Im going for 98 for snug fit and will i need any spacers on front ? And if so will i need to get longer bolts

Whether it will fit without spacers or not depends on the ET, not on the PCD.

Didn't you follow any of the links I posted?

I did follow and so say i had 5js could i fit 185 50 14s or would it need to be 5.5j and would i need spacers with any of thies?

It also says abarth and fiat alloy has et of 33 does this mean i cant go above that without spacers or 38?

No. On 5J I doubt you could fit anything worthwhile.(n) IIRC, the stock 13s are 5.5J.

Once more, with feeling, whether the wheel tyre combination will fit depends on the ET. If 100 pcd you need wobble bolts (which are pretty horrible).

You have to have the correct:

centre bore (can be made smaller with spigot rings)
PCD (must be 4 stud, 100mm or 98mm -- if you use 100 you need wobble bolts)
ET -- if the ET is bigger than standard you need spacers (do not use the nasty cheap universal ones) if the ET is smaller than standard, they'll simply stick out to far from the arches and there's no way back)

If you buy a 4 stud Alfa, Fiat (except Grande Punto) or Lancia wheel it'll at least have the right PCD and ET. Lots of 5.5J ones out there.

If fitting the Abarth/Schumacher wheels to a normal Cinq or Seicento do you have to fit the studs with the extra hex on? Are they longer or something? Mine has them (with the abarth 14" wheels) and I assume I need to fit standard studs to change to stock 13" steels, just wondered if it was the same going the other way, or if 14" abarth wheels will fit standard studs without modification.

Not sure do you have longer bolts + spacers or wobble bolts and are thies wheels for sale

The hubs are the same as standard (let's assume that no one rendered them useless with the Abarth kit). So, to fit standard wheels, just use standard bolts.

To fit 14" Abarth wheels to a standard car, 10mm hubcentric spacers at the front and a suitable stud conversion (need not be the Abarth one, which is too clever for its own good).

Measure it. PCD is an imaginary circle through the centre of the wheel studs/bolts see here.

ET is the offset -- again, see the place mentioned. The J size is the width of the wheel rim.

On most wheels you'll find J size and ET stamped, sometimes PCD.

Yep, 5.5J 14" rimes can run 185/50/14. No bigger.

So just seen punto 14s they have 185 60r14s on atm will this be ok and im not sure if they are 6j or 5.5 waiting on sellers reply
