See now you're in a funny situation having a 2009 model. Firstly you need to tell us if you have Blue and me. You can tell by looking if you have buttons on your steering wheel. Also in the middle of the dashboard, under your heater controls there will be a little plastic cover with the Microsoft windows logo on it. Inside this is a USB port. If you have this then it's one of two ways. Firstly you will need an approved data cable for your iPhone. (Depending on the phone it's either the old 19 pin connector or the new lightning connector). This is the cable that came with your phone to charge/sync it.

If yours is a later model car 2009/2010 onwards then you can just plug the phone directly into this USB port with your cable. Done. All your music at your fingertips. If it's not a later model (you will tell because it won't work when you plug it in) you will need a blue and me adapter. They vary from about £40 second hand to £70 new. It's up to you to look for one. Just google it. It is literally a little white dongle. You plug this into the USB port in the centre console and then the cable into this. Done

Now if you don't have blue and me and have an active model all is not lost. You can still fit an aux cable into the back of the unit that activates the MP3 mode.. This wil allow you to plug any audio source in that uses the a headphone jack. Just like the iPhones do. This will not work with tany buttons on your radio other than the volume. All music will be dealt with through the iPhone. There is a guide on this very forum for doing such a thing

In both situations you will be able to play music, listens to turn by turn directions through your car speakers. Use Siri. You can even take phone calls although with the aux cable i advise against it as you are using the microphone in the phone which isn't so good when you are sitting away from it with an engine running.

Mines got the buttons on steering wheel with windows emblem and windows by th cigar lighter i thought once its connected ul just jump in car and automaticly connects?? No lead ?? May of misunderstood you ??

Bluetooth will automatically connect allowing you to scroll through your phone book and make phone calls all with the cars steering wheel. To do this you pair the phone to the car. Which is easy. But to play music you need to connect it through the USB. depending on what model Blue and me you have. You may or may not need the adapter.

This video shows you how to connect your phone. Once this is done once it will do it automatically as long as Bluetooth is switched on, on your phone. This is a fiat 500 but it's the same system. And method
