Hi, don't know if anyone can help me here - i've got a supersprint back section and manifold for my 1.1 1995 Cinq and thought i'd get the middle but while i'm at it - but none seem to have a cat? Just worried about MOT's etc, anyone know what the crack is? Will it pass without a cat or are people with these exhausts swapping them for stock at MOT time?

also think i may need the middle section to fit to the manifold?

any info and advice appreciated, cheers, Dan

Seems that there is nowt with the cat.

I doubt very much that you'd be OK MOT wise without one.

Best bet is probably to get something fabricated to run with a cat. You'll not gain much, if anything, by running without one. J333EVO suggested the Rover KV6 CAT a long time ago -- they're about the same size as a stock one and should -- being designed for a bigger engine -- flow well. Also cheap.

Thanks for the info - does anyone know if the supersprint manifold will fit to the standard centre section? I know the supersprint back section fits to the standard centre section as that's what's on my old cinq….but i didn't have the manifold on that one….thanks, Dan

last time i looked on supersprint site they sold a sei middle pipe with sports cat its been a while since i looked though. But there was no cinq one, the sei one will fit just fine though..

Failing that, as fingers suggests, either cut and permanently weld a cat into middle section or make it removable so you can run a decat pipe.
