Computer advice needed: video convertor

Does anybody know of any free programs I can download to convert file types? like .flv to wmv or qt to mpeg etc????

hmm best bet is to type ".(file) converter" or "convert .(file) to .(file)" in google or any search engine, google is best =P

Totalconverter is one of the best (as I see you mentioned flv files which I assume means you want to convert YouTube stuff) but it's not free sadly.
