Hi guys,

I would like to have an idea about the compression value for a 1.6 16v fiat engine has to be...
I'm specifically need to test a Multipla petrol/cng.

I know that the important factor is that all cylinders must be ad the same compression (max 10% difference); but I have no idea what kind of range I have to expect in a normal situation.

Thanks.

Long time since I did a compression check to remember typical values based on compression ratio but you should be looking for 100PSI and over.

Another thing to check is how quickly and evenly each pressure builds up. Typically one should be up to 80 to 90 psi (or better) in three pressure cycles/strokes.
