Hi, did a compression test today, all seems fine imo, what do you guys reckon?

Dry -- psi

1 - 180
2 - 185
3 - 182
4 - 180

Wet -- psi

1 - 210
2 - 230
3 - 220
4 - 225

Only slight anomaly could be wet no.1 but I still think that's within range.

Could someone confirm this?

Thanks in advance.

Condition of sparks, nice and chocolatey to me

I'wouid check 'Timing' next,
its easy to do, just remove plugs 1 & 2 and silver cap off camcarrier,
you can use my timing tools to check if you want..it will save buying a set,

Good idea, timing would seem most logical next step

That's sounds great if you wouldn't mind! Would get them back to you as soon as I have checked it! :)

'Send us a pm.later with a address to post to and iwill get them
sent out,

if your near a scrapyard, grab a interior 'mirror, off any old car,
it makes checking the timing easier, 'ask corky, :D when ibrought the mirror,he musta thought iwas going to have a quick shave before starting the job, :ROFLMAO:

Cheers!

Haha I think I've got one lying around, why exactly does it help? :D

180 psi dry is fairly good, espically you dont have a HUGE variance between

As for going upto 210 when wet
it depends on a few things like

How much oil was put in
What grade of oil for example, a thick oil will seal but not seap, meaning it takes up room in the cylinder and creates more compression

A thin oil will seap down and seal, taking less room up and give an increased reading but not by much

180 dry is a good reading

I put teaspoon/ 5ml in each (although there may have been slightly less in cylinder 1),

Oil grade is 5w 40, same as current engine oil :)
